Changes coming to Travel Services Online

June 17, 2004

Travel Services is making changes to its Web-based self-booking system, Travel Services Online . The upgraded system, to be launched July 1, will have a new design and will offer several new features.

Travel Services has scheduled training sessions on June 28, 29 and 30 to show faculty and staff how to use the upgraded program, which will search 25 Web sites.

The program features increased speed, additional Web searches and a simultaneous booking feature for air, car and hotel in Travel Services Online. "The upgraded program also features an extensive, low-fare search that consistently reflects a significant savings compared to prices offered by other approved sources," said Marguerite Gustkey, manager of Travel Services.

Travel Services Online allows users to pay with their Penn State Purchasing Cards or the Direct Bill Authorization Form (DBAF) and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The only fee is a $7.75 per-passenger charge on any combination of air, rail, car or hotel reservations.
