Curley to serve as NACDA first vice president

Tim Curley, Penn State director of athletics, has been asked to serve intercollegiate athletics nationwide with two recent appointments. At the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention, Curley was elected first vice president. NACDA serves as the professional and educational association for more than 6,100 college athletics directors, associates, assistants and conference commissioners at more than 1,600 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. In addition, Curley has been asked by NCAA President Myles Brand to participate in the next Coalition on Intercollegiate Athletics (COIA) meeting, which will be held Saturday, June 26. The small group of athletic directors will meet with the COIA leadership, selected NCAA staff and faculty athletics representatives to discuss issues of mutual concern.
