University Park, Pa. -- Folks will have plenty of activities to celebrate the Fourth of July at the Main Stage and at The Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus this Sunday, July 4.

Performances by local bands, children's activities and a magic show by President Graham B. Spanier are among the activities that have been scheduled by Central PA 4th Fest. All of those activities lead up to the main event, a spectacular display of fireworks that is touted as one of the best in the nation.

At The Bryce Jordan Center, the ninth annual Family Playground will be under way from 3 to 9 p.m. This year's event will feature new rides and games for the entire family, including Under the Sea Toddler Obstacle Course, Jurassic Adventure and Laser Tag Arena.
