Faculty news and notes

Several Penn State McKeesport faculty members have recently been recognized by the University for their academic accomplishments. Zhibo Chen, a faculty member since 1991, has been promoted to the rank of professor of mathematics. Joseph Marchesani, assistant professor of integrated arts, has been chosen Penn Stater of the Quarter for his outstanding work on the first year testing, counseling and advising program and orientation. Marchesani was also one of three faculty members who were awarded competitive teaching development grants by the Commonwealth College. Jeanne Amlund, assistant professor of educational psychology, and Clifford Manlove, assistant professor of English, also received grants to development instructional learning activities to enhance student learning.
