President Spanier to give State of the University Address Sept. 17

Penn State President Graham B. Spanier's annual State of the University Address will be broadcast live via satellite from Eisenhower Auditorium from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, to the Auditorium in the Olmsted Building on the Penn State Harrisburg campus. The event is open to faculty, staff, students and the general public. Spanier's address this year will focus on a theme of "Building on Tradition to Chart the Future." Since Penn State is celebrating its sesquicentennial, Spanier will take this opportunity to examine the University's heritage as a "people's university," as well as to reflect on the University's past and introduce ways to build on its legacy of success.
