Penn State McKeesport Advisory Board presents 'All That's Jazz'

The Penn State McKeesport Advisory Board will be host to "All That's Jazz" from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, in the Student Community Center. Proceeds from the evening will be added to the Penn State McKeesport Scholarship Fund.

A committee of volunteers, led by co-chairs Nancy Seifert and Nancy Traina, are planning the event. The music and food of four cities known for jazz -- New York, Chicago, New Orleans and Pittsburgh -- will be featured.

Jazz musicians from the Penn State McKeesport and Carnegie Mellon University Jazz Ensembles will perform under the direction of David Pellow. Benny Benack Jr. will be a featured musician. The musical portion of the program is dedicated in memory of William A. Seifert Jr., Benny Benack Sr. and James A. Pellow.

As part of the evening's fund-raising activities, the "All That's Jazz" Committee is planning silent and live auctions and making available mystery boxes.

Honorary committee members include: Arthur L. Baldwin, Suzy and Jim Broadhurst, Ronnie L. Bryant, Franco Harris, Chris Maricondi, Barbara McNees, Daniel Onorato, William E. Strickland Jr. and Doris Carson Williams. Joseph M. Hohman, president of the Penn State McKeesport Advisory Board, is chairing the Sponsorship Committee and alumnus David J. Pasternak is heading up the auction volunteers.
