Gary Logsdon will focus on waterborne disease outbreaks when he delivers the annual Kappe Lecture in environmental engineering Oct. 18 at Penn State Harrisburg. Logsdon's lecture, "Avoiding Waterborne Disease Outbreaks by Understanding Prior Outbreaks," is free to the public from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Science and Technology Building on campus. The presentation should be particularly valuable to water filtration plant operators and managers, consulting engineers, microbiologists, health scientists, and federal and state regulators.
