Junior back Molly Schriver (Kenilworth, Ill.) has won her first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Schriver helped lead the No. 19 Penn State field hockey team to shutouts over Princeton, Indiana and West Chester last week. Char Morett's team did not allow a shot on goal against West Chester. This marks the third time a Nittany Lion has captured the Defensive Player of the Week honor. Goalkeeper Megan Akstin (Poughkeepsie, N.Y) won the award Sept, 13 and Sara Cahill snagged the award the very next week.
