School of Music schedules several events

Chamber Orchestra begins concert season
The Penn State Chamber Orchestra is presenting its first concert of the season at 8 p.m. Oct. 21 in Esber Recital Hall, University Park. The performance will feature Langston Fitzgerald, professor of trumpet. The conductors are Leonardo Lebas and Gerardo Edelstein. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

University Choir schedules fall concert
The University Choir will present its annual Fall Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, in Esber Recital Hall, University Park. The theme for this event is "Psalms, Prayers, Poetry, Peace." Conductors for the concert will include Anthony Leach, Matthew Russell and Emily Homan. Russell also will serve as organist for this concert and piano accompaniment will be provided by Anthony DeAngelis and Bethany Loser. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

Philharmonic Orchestra presents first concert of the season
The Philharmonic Orchestra will perform its first concert of the season at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 in Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park. The program will include the dances from the ballet "La Estancia," Wagner's prelude from "Tristan and Isolde" and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5. Conductors are Christian Baldini and Gerardo Edelstein. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.
