Penn State Berks serves Thanksgiving dinner at Police Athletic League

Penn State Berks faculty, staff and students will work together on Thursday, Nov. 18, to serve Thanksgiving dinner to 250 children at the Reading Police Athletic League on Walnut Street in Reading. Penn State Berks campus provides the turkeys and dessert while the Police Athletic League adds all of the trimmings to offer a full holiday meal for the children. Penn State students will lead the children in two craft projects and serve them their meals. In addition, the Penn State Berks women's basketball team, along with numerous faculty and staff volunteers, will be manning the lines serving the Thanksgiving dinner. Penn State Berks participates in this event every year, and it is one of the highest-attended and most-popular community-service activities at the campus.
