'A Scottish Christmas' kicks off the season with Celtic traditions

A spirited ensemble of musicians and dancers perform traditional Celtic carols, hymns, wassail tunes, jigs and reels in "A Scottish Christmas" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park. The event celebrates the many moods of Christmas, Hogmanay (Scottish New Year's Eve) and the New Year. The performance features three-time U.S. Scottish fiddle champion Bonnie Rideout. Tickets are $28 for adults; $16 for full-time University Park students; and $21 for people 18 and younger.
