Penn State Children's Hospital Miracle Ball raises $120,000

The 15th annual Penn State Children's Hospital Miracle Ball, held Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Hilton Harrisburg & Towers, Harrisburg, Pa., raised $120,000 for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) at Penn State Children's Hospital, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. More than 430 people attended the black-tie event themed, "Tropical Paradise."

All the funds raised at the Miracle Ball are used to support research, staffing, equipment and educational resources for children and their families at Penn State Children's Hospital. The 2005 Miracle Ball will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, Hershey, Pa.

Children's Miracle Network is an international, nonprofit organization that has affiliations with 170 children's hospitals. Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Children's Hospital, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, serves the Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York regions. CMN's mission is to raise funds for children's services and create community awareness of children's issues. All money raised by CMN goes directly toward patient services, research, equipment, program services and educational resources at Penn State Children's Hospital. CMN has raised more than $20 million since it began locally in 1984.
