Glee Club concert honors retiring Trinkley

The Penn State Glee Club's 22nd Annual Blue and White Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in Eisenhower Auditorium. The concert is dedicated to and will be a celebration of the 35-year tenure of retiring director Bruce Trinkley. Trinkley has led the Glee Club in more than 700 performances and has taken the club abroad. He has composed musicals, operas, ballets and numerous choral settings that have been widely published and have received extensive critical acclaim. The club is expecting more than 100 Glee Club alumni to join them for the event. They will be invited to sing during the second half of the concert, which will feature a few surprises and special presentations for Trinkley as well. A reception follows the concert in the conference room of Eisenhower Auditorium. Tickets, which cost $3 for students and $8 for the public, are available at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling (814) 863-0255.
