Mont Alto student qualifies for national Stihl Timbersports event

Penn State Mont Alto student Kyle Fuhrman won the Stihl Timbersports Collegiate Qualifying Event held April 2 during the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Woodsmen's Meet at Penn State Mont Alto. Fuhrman of Spring Grove will now attend the National Stihl Timbersports Collegiate Event in Louisiana this summer. Overall, the Penn State Mont Alto team came in second at the Mid-Atlantic Woodsmen's Meet. More than 100 individuals from five colleges participated, including 20 students from Mont Alto's Woodsmen's Team. Haywood Community College won the event, which was televised on the new ESPN Collegiate network.
