Berks honors faculty at convocation

Several awards were presented during the 19th annual Honors Convocation at Penn State Berks.

Robert Forrey, associate professor of physics, was awarded the Outstanding Research and/or Creative Accomplishment Award at the Honors Convocation held recently at Penn State Berks. This honor recognizes a full-time faculty member who has shown excellence in academic research, creative activity, scholarship and mastery of a subject matter. Joni Queen, lecturer in mathematics at Penn State Berks since 1999, was awarded the 2005 Teaching Excellence Award at the Honors Convocation held recently at the Penn State Berks campus. This award recognizes a faculty member who has been teaching at Penn State Berks for at least two consecutive years and has shown an outstanding commitment to the students. Robert E. Monk, instructor in German at Penn State Berks, was awarded the 2005 Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award at the annual Honors Convocation held recently at the campus. This award recognizes a part-time faculty member who has been teaching at Penn State Berks for at least three years and has shown an outstanding commitment to the students.
