Independence Day celebrations scheduled for July 3

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present "An American Salute," an Independence Day celebration, on the front lawn of the medical center, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3. The concert is free to the public. Food and beverages will be for sale throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. At approximately 10:15 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy HersheyPark's fireworks from the lawn following the concert. The rain date for the concert will be Monday, July 4. The concert is sponsored by Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and Hershey Resorts. This is the fourth year for the free holiday concert. Attendance has grown from 1,000 attendees to more than 3,000 last year.
