Panhellenic recruitment event welcomes new students to Greek life

Penn State's Panhellenic Council will host a fall recruitment event on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the HUB-Robeson Center lawn. Students who are considering joining one of the University's 80 fraternities and sororities will have the opportunity to learn more about Greek life while meeting members from every chapter. Since the 1870s, Penn State's Greek community has sought to strengthen the scholarship of its members, promote brotherhood and sisterhood, develop leadership and engage in community service. Fraternities and sororities support the philanthropic efforts of the collective Greek community, as well as those of the University and the surrounding community. The programs and events undertaken by fraternities and sororities build character and integrity of among its members, while affirming personal and organizational responsibility and supporting the mission and goals of Penn State.
