Promotion, tenure book selection deadline nears

In preparation for the third annual Penn State Promotion and Tenure Recognition Program, faculty who received promotion and tenure in May, are reminded to submit their book selection and narrative by the extended due date of Tuesday, Sept. 6. The program sponsored by the Provost's Office and supported by the University Libraries, honors faculty on this occasion in their professional lives. Through the program, each newly tenured or promoted faculty is asked to select a book for the University Libraries' collection that would include a bookplate to commemorate her or his achievement. The books, with narrative from each faculty member, will be displayed at a reception for the faculty, and then will become part of an exhibit in the Libraries Diversity Studies Room, 109 Pattee Library, on display November though December.
