Gittlen Tournament surpasses $10 million to support cancer research

Congratulations to Warren Gittlen, class of 1955. During halftime at the Penn State-Ohio State football game, Gittlen was recognized for leading the annual Jake Gittlen Memorial Golf Tournament, supporting cancer research at the College of Medicine. This year marked the 36th year of the tournament and a milestone topping $10 million since its inception in 1970. "The Gittlen," the largest televised amateur-golf tournament in the country, is in memory of Warren Gittlen's father Jake, who died of cancer in 1970.
