WPSU-TV cooking show seeks recipes for December

Candy, cookies, cakes and fudge are a big favorite, especially when they are homemade at holiday time. Penn State Public Broadcasting is seeking favorite recipes from around central Pennsylvania to feature on its next local cooking production, "S is for Sweet Treats." Viewers can submit recipes to WPSU-TV, which will feature selected cooks and their dessert and sweet snack creations on "S is for Sweet Treats" live at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

"We have been salivating over the idea of a candy- and sweet-snack-themed show for quite awhile," said Charlie Gudeman, producer and host. "Everyone has a favorite sweet recipe, so we expect the response for this show to be fantastic."

Cooks can e-mail their recipes to cooking@outreach.psu.edu or send by mail to Sweet Treats, 227 Outreach Building, University Park, PA 16802. Deadline is Nov. 11. All recipe submissions will be compiled into the "S is for Sweet Treats" cookbook, available as a membership thank-you gift when the program is broadcast.
