Tunnel of Oppression offers journey towards social justice

The Tunnel of Oppression, a multimedia program that is part of the Martin Luther King Commemoration Week, will be presented Jan. 16 to 19 in Heritage Hall, HUB-Robeson Center, University Park. The presentation is being billed as an educational and experiential journey through historical and contemporary forms of oppression. It offers an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to collectively create an interactive museum that educates the campus on issues of oppression and social justice. Tunnel hours will be: 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 16; and noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 17 to 19. The tunnel will kick off the commemorative week. A Social Justice Dinner to be held in conjunction with the USG Day of Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in Alumni Hall, HUB-Robeson Center.
