Campus post office gets makeover, longer hours

Penn State's newly remodeled post office, located in McAllister Building, University Park, now has longer hours. While the retail window will still close at 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, the outer lobby will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., even on weekends.

Those seeking to mail a package or buy stamps can use the new Automated Postal Center. This center provide a quick, easy and convenient way for customers to weigh, calculate and apply exact postage, and ship Express Mail and Priority Mail items, packages and first-class letters at the kiosks.

Some items, such as international parcels, Media Mail, registered mail and oversized items cannot be accepted at the Automated Postal Center. These, as well as other more complex transactions like Postal Money Orders can be completed at any retail window. Passport applications can be completed only at the main post office on Fraser Street in State College.
