Penn State to host workshop on advanced coating materials

Penn State will host a workshop on advanced coating materials and technology for extreme environments Sept. 12-13 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. The 2006 International Workshop on Advanced Coating Materials and Technologies for Extreme Environments will include research papers, roundtable discussions and poster presentations from government, industry and academia. The event will focus on new coating materials and technologies needed for power and propulsion systems. Discussions also will address extending the life of critical parts and components under extreme environmental conditions. The registration fee for the workshop is $200. The event is hosted by the Applied Research Laboratory, the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics and the Materials Research Institute.
