Still Life: Special Olympics Summer Games a thrilling success

"Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Approximately 2,000 athletes took this oath at the opening of the 2006 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Summer Games, which took place on Penn State's University Park campus June 8-10. More than 2,000 volunteers from the Penn State and State College communities helped to make these games possible by providing administrative support and serving as officials, timers, athlete escorts and award presenters.
