"There's no reason why we can't compete for another Big Ten title this year. We lost a lot of guys who were very significant players for us last year. But the guys stepping into those spots are unbelievable. They have great talent and a lot of potential. If we continue to work hard and listen to our coaches and do what we're supposed to, there's no reason why we can't be at the top of the Big Ten when it's all said and done."

-- Senior linebacker and co-captain Paul Posluszny, on the upcoming season for a Penn State football team that returned to glory last season with an 11-1 record and Big Ten title. The Butkus and Bednarik Award winner spoke to members of the media along with fellow co-captain, senior offensive tackle Levi Brown. On playing in a program known as "Linebacker U," Posluszny added, "It's an honor to play linebacker at Penn State and be at Linebacker U, knowing the great tradition we've had here. It's really a pleasure to play here. I think all of our linebackers would say we are in a great situation right now. We are taught by one of the best linebacker coaches in the country. We have some great guys in here who are ready to continue the tradition that guys like Shane Conlan and Jack Ham started."
