Penn State has been notified that State College Anesthesia Associates has signed an agreement to rejoin the HealthAmerica network retroactive to July 1, 2006. Anesthesia Associates provides anesthesia services at Mount Nittany Medical Center and Mount Nittany Surgical Center.
During the period that State College Anesthesia was not in the network, HealthAmerica participants were being reimbursed at the previously contracted rate. Billing for anesthesia services received at Mount Nittany Medical during that time will be reprocessed and balances will be adjusted. Penn State employees who are members of Penn State Choice or the HealthAmerica HMO will see an adjustment and will have no member responsibility.
