Penn State All-Access to provide live coverage of football and basketball events

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State alumni and fans worldwide will have the opportunity to listen to or watch more than 100 live football and basketball events in 2006-07 by signing up for Penn State All-Access on online, the official website of Penn State Athletics.

A minimum of 120 live events will be included in the Penn State All-Access service this year. One of the new features for All-Access subscribers will be live video streaming of Joe Paterno's post-game news conference from all seven home games, starting with the Sept. 2 season opener against Akron.

Every Penn State football and basketball game broadcast from the Penn State Sports Network will be available on the All-Access service, as well as the AIG Nittany Lion Hotline Show, which had its 2006-07 debut on Aug. 24. The AIG Nittany Lion Hotline Show will air 29 times on Thursdays at 6:05 p.m.

In addition to the Penn State Sports Network broadcasts, all 12 of Penn State's Tuesday news conferences with Coach Paterno and selected players this fall will feature live video streaming on Penn State All-Access. The annual subscription fee for Penn State All-Access is $49.95 for 2006-07 and the monthly fee is $6.95.

Penn State All-Access is partnership between Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and also will feature live play-by-play, scoring and statistics of numerous teams this year via's GameTracker feature. Among the sports included in the GameTracker feature are: football, men's and women's basketball and soccer, wrestling and baseball. logged almost 40 million page views in 2005, an increase of 25 percent. The number of unique visitors rose 15 percent last year to more than 2.5 million.
