Free workshop for Parkinson's patients

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center offers a free, informational workshop designed especially for Parkinson's Disease (PD) patients, their families and caregivers. "Parkinson's Disease: New and Emerging Treatments" is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East on Lindle Road (I-283, exit 2) in Harrisburg.

The program highlights the latest treatments and explains how patients can help researchers get closer to finding a cure.

Specialists in the Medical Center's Department of Neurology will discuss how PD is diagnosed, promising new treatments, effective rehabilitation, and the vital role patients play in ongoing research. Guests also will hear from a PD patient who is participating in an ongoing clinical trial at the Medical Center.
