ESPN's College Gameday to originate from Penn State-Ohio State game

University Park, Pa. -- For the third time in Penn State's last 10 regular-season games, ESPN's popular College GameDay Built by the Home Depot program will be on-site for a game involving the Nittany Lions.

ESPN announced on Monday, Sept. 18, that the program, with host Chris Fowler and analysts Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit and contributor Desmond Howard, will originate from the site of the Penn State-Ohio State game for the second consecutive year.

College GameDay will air from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, with other segments throughout the day and Penn State fans are encouraged to attend. The No. 24 Nittany Lions and No. 1 Buckeyes will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Ohio Stadium on ABC.

All Penn State fans attending the highly anticipated clash are encouraged to wear white in support of the Nittany Lions.

College Gameday also originated from the Penn State at Michigan State game last November, as the Nittany Lions won to conclude a 10-1 regular season and capture a share of the Big Ten Championship and BCS bid.

Last year's College Gameday program prior to the PSU-OSU clash was staged outside the Bryce Jordan Center and averaged 1.86 million homes and a 2.1 rating, making it the most-viewed Saturday morning edition of the program. The show was the second-highest rated program behind a 2.2 rating for the program at the 1993 Florida State at Notre Dame game.

This year marks the 13th consecutive season College GameDay is originating from the site of the day's best game. College GameDay airs at 10 a.m. every Saturday during the football season. Fowler, Corso and Herbstreit are in their 11th season together on College GameDay Built by the Home Depot.
