Barbecue fundraiser helps hort students study abroad

Penn State Horticulture and Landscape Contracting students will be selling Clem's barbecue meals and ribs Friday, Nov. 10, at the Cellar Market, located between Tyson Building and Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park. The sale will help defray costs for 14 students who will be traveling this spring to Italy to study landscapes and gardens.

Sales begin at 11 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. at the Cellar Market. Customers can purchase: a meal, which includes country-style boneless ribs, chicken, roll and cookies for $9; a half-rack of baby-back ribs and roll for $10; and a full-rack of ribs and roll for $20. Beverages, including soda and bottled water, will be available for purchase.

Participants can pre-order their selection, so that their food is ready when they arrive. To pre-order, go tohttp://horticulture.psu.edu/dept/clems/fundaiser.html online. Walk-up orders are welcome. For information, call Jamie Smith at (814) 863-7724. Payment options include cash, credit card, checks and Lion Cash.
