Commission for Women seeks membership nominations

University Park, Pa. -- The Commission for Women, a forum for exchanging ideas that can translate into improved practices to support women at Penn State, is seeking nominations for membership.

The commission's membership represents all Penn State women: faculty, exempt and non-exempt staff, technical service, administrator, graduate and undergraduate students. The University President appoints the members of the commission as an advisory group to recommend policies and programs to enhance the University's working and learning environments for women.

The commission is seeking a broad base of nominations, in particular, women whose cultural, racial or ethnic background would enrich the understanding of the needs and concerns of women throughout the University. Self-nominations are welcome.

Information and a nomination form may be obtained by visiting http://www.equity.psu.edu/cfw/involved.asp online.

Nomination forms must be submitted no later than April 30.
