Research center health fair held May 5, 11

Penn State General Clinical Research Center will hold its fifth annual health fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Iglesia el Faro in Lebanon and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg. Both Penn State Care Fairs are free to both children and adults. This is the first year the health fair has expanded from a single location to provide free health screenings and information about participation in clinical research to residents of multiple communities. Health-care professionals will conduct blood pressure checks, heart disease and stroke assessments, answer health questions and provide information on clinical research studies. Sleep researchers and specialists from the Penn State Diabetes Center will be present, and human resources staff will do onsite screening to promote employment within the institution.
