Jordan Center to host blood drive series

University Park, Pa. -- One Wednesday each month this summer and into the fall, the concourse at University Park's Bryce Jordan Center will be the place to be to donate blood.

This is the fourth year that the Jordan Center has opened its doors to the American Red Cross. Each blood drive is scheduled to collect 30 units of blood helping low summer inventories by collecting more than 100 units of blood during the campaign. The next Bryce Jordan Center drive will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Gate B.

More blood drives are scheduled across the University Park campus throughout the summer. For times and locations, visit http://www.psuredcross.org online.

This summer the Red Cross is giving away an all-expense-paid trip to the 2008 Daytona 500. At all drives until Oct. 31, including the BJC drives, all donors will be automatically entered to win the trip. During July and August, donors also will receive a personal beverage cooler and have a chance to win a gas grill.

Appointments are appreciated and can be made at http://www.psuredcross.org online.
