Heard on Campus: Paul Levine at the Forum

"The courtroom gives us this stage in which we play out dramas that occur in daily life. It's just a wonderful venue for drama."

-- Novelist and screenwriter Paul Levine, on his theory about why courtroom dramas are a popular television fixture. Levine opened this year's Penn State Faculty Staff Club Forum series yesterday (Sept. 10) with "The Good, the Bad and the Nutty: Mystery Writer Tackles Hollywood." Levine has been a newspaper reporter, trial lawyer, law school teacher, novelist and television writer. Levine is a 1969 graduate of Penn State, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Daily Collegian and was named a Distinguished Alumnus in 2003.
