The Penn State Parents Fund supports important programs

Strong student-focused campus communities help to prepare undergraduates for success in college and beyond. Enhancing this student-centered environment across the University is Penn State President Graham Spanier's top priority.

Parents of University students can play a critical role in this effort. Gifts to the Parents Fund underwrite many programs not entirely covered by Penn State's operating budget. The Fund has helped support the following programs:

1. Career coaching and counseling services, assisting students with interview preparation, job search strategies, networking, and professional development;
2. Late Night Penn State, offering a wide range of activities for students to gain experience in leadership development and social interaction in an alcohol-free environment;
3. The newly created Center for Student Engagement, which encourages student involvement in campus organizations, community service, and leadership programs, each of which has been shown to enhance student success and satisfaction at the University;
4. The Student Newspaper Readership Program, making free newspapers available to all students on 22 Penn State campuses;
5. University Health Services and Counseling and Psychological Services, serving approximately 400 students daily with a full range of outpatient medical services, educational programs, and counseling sessions.

A gift to the Parents Fund is a great way to make an immediate impact on the student experience. To make a gift to the Parents Fund, visit www.GiveNow.psu.edu or call 1-888-800-9163. For additional information, please visit www.Parents.PSU.edu online.
