Campus students collect funds for Aliquippa flood victims

October 26, 2007

At The Clarks concert held recently on campus, Penn State Beaver students collected more than $400 to benefit the victims of last July's flash flooding in Aliquippa, the hometown of many campus students. At the concert, students sold glow sticks to audience members with all proceeds going to the Aliquippa Recovery Initiative Serving Everyone (ARISE). "Thank you for all the Beaver campus students did for these victims," said Felicia Mycyk, chair of ARISE. "Funding like this comes from people who truly want to help, like your campus." For information about ARISE and Aliquippa recovery efforts, contact Mycyk or the ARISE group at (724) 375-9813.
