When after-hours care is needed, the walk-in clinic at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, University Physician Group – Fishburn Road is an attractive alternative to the emergency department for lesser-priority sickness and injuries. The clinic is staffed by faculty members from the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Open from 5 to 10 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 8 p.m. on weekends, the walk-in clinic is available to anyone, not just patients. Radiology services also are on site. The visit is considered an office visit, not an emergency, and co-pays reflect that.
