Piano sale will be May 11

A public sale of new and used pianos will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the Founders Lounge of the Bryce Jordan Center, University Park.

Many of the pianos on sale will be from the Yamaha Corp. of America, which has an ongoing program with Penn State's School of Music. As a results, students and faculty have benefited from the use of quality new Yamaha pianos and Clavinola Digital Pianos at no cost to the school during the year. These pianos are then are offered for public sale at a significant cost reduction.

The selection for sale includes new and used famous brands of grands, baby grands, studios, consoles, spinets and digitals, as well as a selection of upright and baby grand computerized player pianos. Arrangements have been made locally for financing, delivery and warranty service through Ford Music Store Inc.

In addition to the public sale, people can purchase pianos by making an appointment to attend a pre-sale. For an appointment on Friday, May 9, or Saturday, May 10, call (814) 935-4036.
