Lacrosse player Adams named honorable mention All-American

University Park, Pa. — Penn State Nittany Lion goalie Drew Adams (Springfield, Pa.) has been named an honorable mention All-American by the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

The honor is the second such award for the Springfield, Pa., native as he was also an honorable mention All-American in 2006. Adams is a three-time first team All-ECAC Lacrosse League pick and a three-time ECAC Lacrosse League Goalie of the Year.

Adams ended the year with a 7.67 goals against average and 165 saves. He also had a superb .611 save percentage. Over the course of three seasons as the conference's top goalie, Adams has a sub-8.00 GAA, a save percentage over .600 and 482 saves.

Penn State went 7-7 this past season, including a 2-5 ECAC mark.
