Online Health Information Library expanded

July 17, 2008

Health information is one of the most sought-after topics for the online community. Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center has expanded its online Health Information Library to help patients and employees learn more about many health-care issues. Visit http://www.pennstatehershey.org/healthinfo/hie/ to get current information on more than 3,600 topics, including diseases and conditions, surgeries and tests, poisons, injuries and nutrition. Full-color images help explain most topics, which can be printed to keep as a handy reference.

The Surgeries and Procedures section is a graphical presentation that covers a variety of medical and health-care topics. The Health Topics in Motion section shows animated views and videos of many common health issues. The health librarian can answer questions submitted via e-mail, providing users with access to even more online health-care advice.
