Are you a woman interested in helping others become parents?

Unfortunately, infertility rates continue to rise in this country, and many loving couples are faced with difficulties conceiving children month after month. Despite all the advances to overcome obstacles to help women become pregnant on their own, sometimes they need even more help -- from another woman.

If a woman has too few eggs or if her eggs are found to be unhealthy, achieving pregnancy is even more difficult, and sometimes virtually impossible. The specialists in Penn State Hershey Obstetrics and Gynecology have recognized this and have now expanded the donor egg program here at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The program provides infertile couples hope that they too can become parents.

Women interested in donating their eggs must pass a physical screening and meet criteria, be between 21 and 32-years-old, and a nonsmoker. Donors will be compensated.

For information about becoming a donor, call the Office of Reproductive Endocrinology at (717) 531-8478, or visit www.PennStateHershey.org/OBGYN and select "Become an Egg Donor."
