'Meet Your Legislators' forum open to public

The Honors Program at Penn State Lehigh Valley will hold an informational public forum featuring local Pennsylvania legislators from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, in the Atrium at the Fogelsville campus. Guests of "Meet Your Legislators" will include Rep. Jennifer Mann, Rep. Joseph Brennan and Jeff Warren, Sen. Lisa Boscola's chief legislative aide, who will each give a short presentation.

Afterward, students from the Honors Program will lead a question-and-answer period during which community members also will have the opportunity to participate.

"As part of the Honor’s Program mission, we strive to bring to campus educational forums that impact students' lives. We plan to have the forums twice per year," said Nichola Gutgold, honors program coordinator and associate professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Lehigh Valley. "Some of our gifted students may go on to careers in public service and learning of the careers of public officials, as well as how their work impacts Penn State, is of great benefit to students. The forums also give students an opportunity to improve their communication skills."

This event is free to the public. Penn State Lehigh Valley campus is located at 8380 Mohr Lane, Fogelsville. For information, contact the University Relations Office at (610) 285-5067.
