Alumni Society golf outing nets more than $15,000

The eighth annual Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Golf Outing raised more than $15,000, an increase of more than $3,000 from 2007. The outing was held on Sept. 8 at Seven Oaks Country Club, Brighton Township. Outing proceeds will benefit new signage at Penn State Beaver, including the production and installation of way-finding maps that will be placed in strategic campus locations.

The 2008 Golf Committee was chaired by Norman Kraus, CBA Northeast sales manager, Hachette Book Group USA. Committee members were John Hertneky, continuous improvement manager, Bayer MaterialScience; Jeff Bauman, vice president, Bauman Office Equipment; Joe Trgovac, certified public accountant, owner, Joseph Trgovac, CPA LLC; Don Veri, owner, Hopewell Realty; Tom Jurkowski, retired, Pratt & Whitney; Diana Patterson, director of development, Beaver campus; and Christina Winniewicz, development external relations assistant.
