WPSU launches 'Candidate Central' on Vote '08 Web site

Who is running for Auditor General and Attorney General? What are their stances on issues? WPSU answers these questions and more with unique feature

With Election Day less than a month away, voters are making final decisions as to which candidate they will vote for on Nov. 4. To help voters educate themselves about the candidates and their policies, WPSU-TV/FM is launching a comprehensive, easy-to-use feature called "Candidate Central" to raise awareness about all races affecting voters in their coverage area.

"Candidate Central" is an interactive site designed to help voters determine how their views align with the contenders in this year's races for state House of Representatives, state Senate, U.S. Congress, and state executive offices, such as treasurer, attorney general and auditor general. The feature raises awareness about the races that don't receive as much attention and at the same time puts all candidates on an even playing field, presenting the information in an unbiased fashion.

Voters within the WPSU coverage area can visit the Web site at http://www.wpsu.org/vote08. After selecting their respective town, voters will be presented with a personalized virtual ballot, which provides video content and quizzes for the races they will be voting for this election season. The content is presented in a fun, interactive way to encourage voting and civic engagement.
