Women's soccer's Bouchelle earns Third Team Academic All-America nod

University Park, Pa. — For the third time in her career, senior midfielder Zoe Bouchelle has received the honor of Third Team Academic All-American by ESPN The Magazine. Holding a GPA of 3.88 in economics, Bouchelle has become the second honoree in women's soccer history to become a three-time Academic All-American.

This year, Bouchelle played in every game for the Nittany Lions and started in all but one. She has collected four goals and five assists for 13 points. Two of the goals came in Big Ten play including the game-winner over Michigan. She was also credited with the assist for the game-winner over Wisconsin. She had an outstanding performance in the Big Ten Tournament assisting on two of Penn State's five goal en route to its fifth championship.

Seven Nittany Lions have received the prestigious honor previously, all since 2001.

Penn State's 2008 season saw the first dual championship since 2005 as the Nittany Lions picked up their 11th consecutive regular season title and fifth Big Ten crown. They also earned their 14th-straight NCAA berth. Penn State finished the season with a 16-8 record.
