Rose Bowl rally for communications alumni, friends set Dec. 30

December 17, 2008

A free event at Lionsgate Entertainment in Santa Monica, Calif., includes films, food and football as the College of Communications plays host to a "Rose Bowl Rally" for its alumni and friends Tuesday, Dec. 30.

The event features current and former Penn State football greats, College and University representatives, and students from ComRadio and The Daily Collegian as well as a social hour, hors d’oeuvres, stickies and beverages.

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics has produced a special video, "2008: The Road to the Rose Bowl," which will be shown in the Lionsgate Films screening room along with exclusive sneak peaks at the company's upcoming feature films. Video messages from President Graham Spanier and Dean Doug Anderson of the College of Communications will be shared as well.

Sponsorship from alumnus Tom Ortenberg (’82 General Arts and Sciences), president of Lionsgate Theatrical Films, helped make the event possible, along with Mind Over Media and the Penn State Film Office.

No RSVPs are necessary. Additional information may be found at http://comm.psu.edu/alumni/rose-bowl online.
