Los Angeles — After a very early morning of charter flights on 737 jets direct from University Park Airport, Penn State alumni, fans and Blue Band members were greeted with an unusually clear, smog-free day as they touched down under the famous Hollywood sign.
Direct flights from State College — a departure from many previous bowl game trips that had fans board charter buses bound for larger airports — came onboard Miami Air International planes for band members and a Southwest Airlines charter for Penn Staters traveling on the official Alumni Bowl Tour.
