January 05, 2009

Los Angeles — In Pasadena, Calif., last Tuesday (Dec. 30), Penn Staters on an alumni excursion to preview Rose Parade floats under construction encountered four Penn State students and a Penn State dad who were volunteering to decorate the float featuring Sesame Street characters.

A brief video encounter with the volunteers is available here.

  • In a stroke of luck, the Penn State alumni touring the tent came across four Penn State students who were volunteering for float construction duty along with one of the student's parents. Inside their paper bucket was the total of their two hours of work disassembling flowers.
