January 06, 2009

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State has nearly 700 student organizations, community service opportunities and recreation programs to enhance the University experience for every student.

Those looking to start the spring semester exploring a new organization or two can visit the Student Involvement Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 in the HUB-Robeson Center's Alumni Hall.

"It's a good opportunity for students to get in touch with leaders of clubs and organizations, face to face, in one place," said Brian Petrosky, staff assistant in the Center for Student Engagement. "Getting involved is a great way to meet people with similar interests and learn valuable leadership skills."

From club sports, honor societies, political organizations and performing arts, the Involvement Fair is open to anyone. For more information on the fair and the various clubs and organizations on campus, please visit
