Arts and Architecture launches student council

January 19, 2009

University Park, Pa. -- The College of Arts and Architecture has started a student council, one of the last colleges to do so on the University Park campus. The new council is endorsed by the dean and college administration, and consists of a board of executives. Meetings and events are open to all students of the college. The executive board consists of Amanda Rodichok, president; Elly Okkelberg, vice president; Alexandros Zervos, secretary; and Lynn Wang, webmistress. The council is looking for a new treasurer and UPUA delegate. All students of the college are encouraged to attend meetings on the first Monday of each month.

The purpose of the student council is to connect majors within the college. In creating this unity, students of the college are given a voice through the council to college administration on everything from faculty, to classes and methods.

This semester, the student council will be hosting themed meetings every first Monday at 7:30 p.m. in 211 Borland. Contact for more information.
